Volvo S90 | Launched 2016 LA Motor Show-The automotive giant Sweden, Volvo, recently rumored to be officially launching their second model that will be built on a new platform SPA (Scalable PlatformArchitecture), at the Detroit Motor Show 2016.

The second model would be a Volvo S90 this latest generation will make its global debut at the upcoming January 11, replacing the Volvo S80 which will be 10 years olds March next year.

As quoted from Indianautosblog, called Volvo will start launching their newest models at the teaser later this year, before its official launch in Detroit next year. This is an all-new model which is based on the same platform as used in the XC90.

However, the news was not so surprising, because in November of last year Volvo has been confirm that their new factory in Daqing, China, would produce a "premium sedan that is totally new" and based on the platform of the SPA, although by that time the official name or the time of the launch has not yet been mentioned.

Volvo S90 this latest generation will almost certainly follow the company's new design philosophy, as seen in the XC90. So, maybe we will see the hammer Thor ' design ' on the LED DRL headlights, grille, body floating a more ' muscular ' and more dynamic,sleek silhouette and the back light is adopted from the Volvo Concept Coupe/Estate.

Volvo S90 will also adopt E-Drive engine lineup with capacity 2.0-liter of the XC90, with variants including diesel twin-turbo ' D5 ' measuring 225 bhp; Turbo-diesel ' D4 'powered 190 bhp; until the turbocharged gasoline engine ' T5 ' consisting of 254 bhp.
