Google started working on a car that can drive itself ,
build a few prototypes in order to test its performance in the real world .
Currently existing prototype is a simple car with two seats , quite comfortable
and able to walk up to a speed of 40 km / hour . A screen will inform route to
be traversed, while the sensor battery allows the car look as far as 274 meters
all directions.
The prototype car that can drive itself does not have the
most control features such as car - like steering wheel and the brake or
accelerator pedal. This happens because Google claims software and sensors
throughout the car body will do all these things.
This initial prototype is the basic model (very simple) that
enables them to develop, solve problems and improve it . Google's goal is to
create a car that is completely flexible and free from human influence. So we
will just press the button and the car will automatically lead us to the location.
Google plans to build 100 prototypes that will begin to be
tested in the United States this summer. Interestingly Google has also been
testing the technology they developed at the Toyota Prius , and the Audi TT .
In addition to Google, Mercedes and Volvo also developed a car that can drive
itself.
